The primary purpose of our business is to look after your home when you can't.

If it's your second home that could be for months at a time.
If you're simply going on vacation it may only be for a few days or a few weeks.

Either way you won't have to impose upon a friend or neighbor and as a result you won't feel badly if you need to call to have something you forgot taken care of. You'll know you have someone here, on the island, you can call if you have a concern.

Exterior inspections:

We carefully walk around the house looking for signs that something isn't right. If you have boats or vehicles we check them. We look for signs that animals are trying to chew their way in. We look for places that invite birds to nest or squirrels to enter your attic. We listen and look for leaks. We take the time to make it look like the house is not vacant, whether that means picking up newspapers or flyers or blowing off the decks and driveway.

If things have blown over we put them right. If you have a dock or outbuildings we'll check them too. And while we're not a lawn service if a limb has blown down and makes it appear things aren't being looked after we'll pick that up too. We're there to make sure your house looks cared for.

Interior inspections:

Once we enter the house we check all windows and doors to be sure they're locked. We pay particular attention to sliding doors as those are often the most vulnerable. We check your thermostat to be sure its set as you've directed. We check the breaker box to be sure nothing has tripped that you want on and that nothing is on that you want off.

We listen and look for leaks, paying particular attention to ceilings and rugs for signs of moisture. Water leaks are a disaster we try to help you to avoid.

If you'll be gone for a while we turn lights on and off, make sure water stays in your traps. We can flush toilets and cycle dishwashers and washing machines according to your instructions. If you request it we'll even change your HVAC filters on a regular basis. Whatever it takes, we're here to try to eliminate unpleasant surprises upon your return. If we find problems and you have e mail we will e mail you the details... with pictures. Otherwise - or in time critical emergencies - we'll call you.
